Trying to launch anything (homebrew channel, both save games) just gets me 'error launching app'. And I've found out how to see the other apps, I have both save game types in there, your one and mine (which is only a few days since being released). However, once I load an app and reboot back to the HBC, it can no longer find my HDD. Sometimes, it loads the apps on the HDD without issue, and displays them as well with no problem. This is the sort of thing that is irking me, why is everything so disparate? Anyway, that is now in the app folder. Now the weird thing, I cant get Homebrew Channel to recognize my FAT32 HDD. I believe I have everything setup correctly and have already succesfully set up games from wii u usb helper onto my regular flashdrive, but that has barely any space and I want to use my external harddrive to store my games instead. I wonder if that got left out in the install? The investigation continues.Įdit: Looks like homebrew browser is a separate app. Im pretty new to Wii U hacking and today added homebrew for the first time on my Wii U. Step 1: Ensure that your Wii console is modded and has the Homebrew Channel installed. ) as well as tools allowing to play GC and Wii games from USB. I openly admit that I'm a retard with this stuff, but surely I'm not the only one who needs to have his hand held with this stuff? Mame32 was much better thought out, these young 'uns making this stuff now just don't know how good it was in the good old days, ten years agoĮdit: I feel like a bit of a detective trying to find the basics. I recently modded my Wii and installed a few emulators (SNES, N64, MAME, NeoGeoCD. I still say it's guesswork when the original authors instructions are 'run the application'. Im thinking tomorrow of getting rid of all files, deleting some forwarders on the Wii that had no use since the issue, and starting over from putting in files and what not. ago Heres a list of things (Just follow this guide ): The guide above will instruct on what to do with cIOS (I think. However, Ive got a few ideas and it definitely has to do with what you said of how homebrew finds the apps. I had a bit of a 'doh' moment when I watched some dodgy youtube clip and realised I should be putting the app in the 'apps' folder Still doesn't work though, and my homebrew channel looked like his homebrew channel.
